Why Authentic A2 Cow Bilona Desi Ghee Costs More?
Traditional Bilona ghee is made through a slow, multi-step process where curd is churned to extract butter and then gently heated. It requires about 25–28 litres of A2 milk to produce just 1 litre of ghee, making it naturally expensive. Indigenous cows yield less milk, further increasing cost. The process is labour-intensive and takes 1–2 days, unlike industrial methods. Despite the higher price, Bilona ghee is valued for its purity and traditional preparation.
